A little about us.

Hey Everyone!

First of all, I feel like a dork. I don’t feel like a good writer and that I don’t have anything interesting to say. I wanted to write this amazing blog post telling the world about our story but once again, not so good at this writing thing. So anyway, here we go!

Kenny and I met almost ten years ago. We met at Kohls, yep the department store. He walked into Kohls one day and I thought “hubba hubba.” He thought “what a dork, she just said ‘hi, welcome to Kohls!’ I work here so you don’t need to greet me like that.” Somehow I won him over and we began dating. We dated for over a year then got married. We lived the poor life, we both worked multiple jobs to make ends meet. We ate a lot of macaroni and cheese and burnt bacon. Looking back, it was simple compared to life now. Life is crazy, it’s 2020 - life for everyone is crazy! Through everything, one thing hasn’t changed - Kenny and I work together as a team.

Kenny, or as I like to call him - Kenneth, is the creative mastermind behind this whole business. He started doing photography when he was in high school but it wasn’t until after we got married that he started doing it full-time. One of my favorite things about Kenny is that he is always pushing himself. He is always challenging himself to take better pictures than he did the day before. If he sees a cool new thing online, he of course HAS to not only figure how to do it but he has to master it. He is persistent - with everything. It comes in handy with photography though because he does whatever it takes to get the perfect shot. On top of being an amazing photographer, he is an awesome dad. We have two of the most amazing daughters! Their names are Marley and Everly. Marley is the sweetest little thing who sees the best in people. Everly is a little firecracker with so much personality. They have pushed me to want to do better and be better. 

Now the awkward part, I get to talk about myself. I have been behind the scenes with Kenny’s photography business but recently got a kick in the pants to want to do more. Kenny graciously allowed me to take over whatever I wanted. I believe in Kenny and our business so I’m here to do whatever I can. You won’t find me behind the camera or editing any of the images though. That is not my thing! I like the organizational part of the business, like emails, workflow, sending invoices, answering questions, etc.. That is my jam, the “boring” stuff. I also like to eat but I’m super picky. I loooovvvveee Mexican food! I could eat it every night but Kenny likes to crush that daily dream. I also love bears. I’m always trying to convince Kenny that I need a baby bear. A couple years ago we went to Bear World where I was able to feed baby bears!! Yeah, it was as cool as it sounds! I was able to bottle feed multiple bears and pet them. It was honestly one of the best days of my life, right under Marley and Everly’s birthdays.
